Jovia Financial Credit Union has announced a multi-year partnership agreement with Northwell Health Ice Center as the “Official Credit Union Partner” of the Eisenhower Park complex.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Jovia will serve as presenting sponsor of the youth hockey programs at the ice center, which include youth house Leagues, youth summer camps and clinics. Each program is geared towards kids ages 5 to 13. A Jovia FCU ATM will be positioned in the main lobby of the ice center and during select times, Jovia representatives will be present to interact with families, provide information about Jovia’s services, and promote financial literacy.
The 175,000-square-foot ice center is the official practice facility of the New York Islanders and offers hockey development classes, hockey skills and skating clinics, ice skating classes, freestyle figure skating sessions and public skating sessions. The complex is also home to several private and school-based hockey teams and programs.
“Young people’s passion for playing hockey is growing by leaps and bounds and Jovia is excited to be a part of it by partnering with Northwell Health Ice Center to sponsor its in-house youth hockey programs,” Renu Dalessandro, Jovia’s chief marketing officer said in a company statement. “Youth sports provide so many benefits for children, both mentally and physically, and we look forward to supporting youth hockey and athletics on Long Island, while helping children achieve fulfilling athletic experiences.”
Christopher Lombardo, vice president of partnerships for Northwell Health Ice Center, said the complex is excited to work with the credit union.
“Jovia is such a big supporter of giving back to the local community and we are proud to team up with them to support youth hockey on Long Island,” he said in the statement.
