Lt. Gov. Adam Gregg will be leading a trade mission to Israel beginning March 26, the Governor’s Office said.

Gregg will be meeting with high-level Israeli government, military and business leaders. Some of the groups with ties to Iowa include the Volcani Center of the Agricultural Research Organization, which is the research arm of Israel’s Agricultural Ministry.

The Volcani Center partnered with Iowa State University on a Memorandum of Understanding following Gov. Kim Reynolds’ trade mission to Israel in 2017.

He also will meet with InsurTech Israel, an Israeli insurance technology company that operates a start-up program in collaboration with Iowa’s BrokerTech Ventures, a broker-led convening platform and accelerator program.

Gregg will meet with the U.S.-Israel Binational Agriculture Research and Development Foundation, the Israel-U.S. Binational Industrial Research and Development Foundation, and the U.S.-Israel Binational Science Foundation to discuss a potential collaboration for artificial intelligence research.
