In Huntington Village, there’s a new venue where music enthusiasts can see live shows in an intimate setting.
That venue is Spotlight Art Bar @ The Paramount, a 200-capacity standalone venue. And while it’s been showcasing local live musicians since July 2020, the space will mark its official opening on March 18.
That’s when Michael Glabicki, lead singer of Rusted Root, will take to the stage, alongside the band’s long time guitar player and background vocalist, Dirk Miller. Tickets will be priced at $25 in advance, doors will open at 8 p.m. and showtime is set at 9 p.m.
Depicted as an “experiential art space,” the venue will book performers throughout the year with ticketed events in Spotlight’s Art Gallery, according to a press release about the site. In addition to live music and art, Spotlight also offers food and drink, including seasonal offerings.
Spotlight looks to enhance Huntington’s art scene, aiming to serve as a draw for locals and visitors to the area alike. In addition to showcasing and hosting local and nationally-renowned artists, the space will display various exhibits for the public, “stimulating innovation and creativity among residents,” according to the press release.
In this venue, Spotlight seeks to offer a window into the talents and originality of professional and aspiring artists.
