Daniel Gale acquires Bay Shore brokerage
Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty has acquired Meg Smith and Associates Real Estate, a one-office brokerage firm in Bay Shore.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Margaret (Meg) Smith, a former preschool owner, started her real estate career in 1987 and founded her brokerage firm in 2010. Located at 249 West Main St., the brokerage and its 25 sales agents will now operate under the Daniel Gale brand.
The Bay Shore office will be managed by associate broker Christine Geraghty.
“We could not be more pleased to welcome Meg and her experienced team of real estate advisors to Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty,” Daniel Gale CEO Deirdre O’Connell said in a company statement. “Meg has run her agency with the guiding principles of professionalism, integrity, service and respect for all. We also share a culture of a strong commitment to community involvement, and a luxury level service for every buyer and seller, regardless of the price point. We’re part of the fabric of every neighborhood we serve, and look forward to doing the same with our new colleagues in Bay Shore.”
Smith said she received offers from other brokerage firms, but opted to sell to Daniel Gale.
“When I decided it was time to sell the agency, there was no other brand I would have considered,” Smith said in the statement. “Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty is the only one I would contemplate. Their reputation within the industry and in the larger community is peerless; the creative talent they have in their marketing and support staff is eye opening. I am confident that I am giving my loyal agents the opportunity to achieve an even greater level of success, and personally excited to be able to once again devote my time to working with buyers and sellers.”
Daniel Gale now has more than 900 sales associates in 29 offices on Long Island and in Brooklyn and Queens.
